Greetings:

Searched through the site but couldn't find when the RFM69HW-915S2 would be back in stock. Any idea when that would be?

Also do you have a time-line when the new mini-wireless boards will be available. I saw a reference to October and a post in early November saying they would be available "next week" but I don't see anything listed. I'm assuming these new boards will take the place of the older mini-wireless boards, correct? If so, I noticed the new ones have an SMA antenna connector but I'm assuming I could still use just a wire antenna out of the RF module, correct?

Lastly, and I apologize for all the questions but I'm excited to begin exploring with these modules.... I noticed that some items still show stock on your Ebay page, is that correct or is the actual stock count more accurate from your website storefront?

ElectronKing

Hi ElectronKing,

The RFM69HW-915 is in stock, and available both on eBay and on the website.
The new MiniWireless units are also in stock, I just need to update the website, database and all...

Hi Rick,

I sent a message through the contact form on the website but I'm not sure it went through. I'm interested in purchasing two units of the MiniWirelessLR-95-915Mhz (MiniWireless with 915 Mhz LoRa radio) to evaluate for use in a larger installation. Are any of these available now?

Thanks,
Mark

When can you start shipping MiniWireless modules again?

Thanks,
Pierre

I heard that Rick's been on travel recently. And the shipping fellow is swamped with work.

Hello Everyone,

Okay, perhaps a certain amount of Rick-bashing was to be expected, since I was busy traveling while the company was running over-capacity.
I've been out of the country for 4 months, traveling overseas, which has made things a challenge at times to keep up and remotely manage things.

Here's how we are improving things, to usher in the new year:
1) We've made additional capital equipment investments during the past two weeks, which will greatly speed up production and reduce our dependency on contracting out larger jobs.
2) We are moving to a new office in Dallas which will also give us additional capacity
3) We are adding an additional full-time person to start 1st week January

We will also have a 2-week company holiday, from December 22 to January 5, in which we'll move into and setup our new office.

Hopefully this will alleviate some of the growing pains we've been experiencing, so we can provide improved service to all.

We very much appreciate all your business, and are honored to be of service to you.
Thank you! God Bless, and Happy Holidays to all.

Hi Rick,

Great update! I was wondering, when will the production start of the MiniWireless Mega?

Hi Rick

What is the main differences between the RFM69CW and RFM69W? Also you where talking about a very low power Anarduino. I not seeing it on the order page.

Thanks Francois

I recall reading here or somewhere that the "C" model is functionally the same but is pin-compatible with the RFM12B. There are a couple of software control differences - and these would be reflected in software such as RadioHead.

I beta tested the mega1284-based boards usjng my bootloader with over the air reprogramming. I suspect a production run is in process now, but Rick is the authority.

Hello everyone,

The Mega line will be ready for shipping when we reopen after January 5th.
The new MiniWireless boards are ready (we have over 1K of them built and tested), but we just need to update the website.

All the best..

Happy New Year Rick! I hope your move to Dallas went smoothly.

Any update on the ability to place an online order for the new MiniWireless boards and for the Mega ones?

Thanks,
Pierre

Hi all,
Things have been delightfully busy these days, but I'm happy to report the Mega1284 is ready. We just need to get the site updated so I can start officially offering them.
The first version of Mega1284 supports the RFM69HW (and W) modules. Let me know if any of you would like to see the Mega support other radio types.
I'm planning to build one also for the RFM23BP, and the LoRa radio types. Any feedback is much appreciated.
All the best..

Besides the Mega, are there any plans for the new MiniWirelessLP with the LoRa radios and SMA connectors? Or just the HW and 23BP variants for now?

Yeah, low power series is what interests me most.
unless 1284 can achieve <4uA in sleep mode

Rick,

Just a thought but I know you have some fans of the miniwireless boards here and it sounds like you are swamped. I certainly would be willing to donates a little time to help update the site with the new mega information and more accurate wiring schematics (assuming you have accurate new ones). Or, even better, setup a quick wiki and croudsource your documentation/guides .

Any interest?

Hello Rick,
you have many people wishing to place orders for the new miniwireless boards. Do you think they will be available before end Q1 of 2015?

Wow, thank you everyone for your enthusiasm and interest.
I owe you an apology for this, because we've had these available for quite some time, but I have not had the time to build the website infrastructure for sales and support of it--until now. I'm in the process of updating the website, and expect to have automated online ordering of the New MiniWireless this coming week. I trust it will be well worth the wait.
All the best...

Update on the Mega...

We beta tested and deployed a small lot of Megas last month, but I have since made a few enhancements to the design. Thus, we ordered a volume of new RoHS Mega boards, and production will begin on these next week. I expect these to be on the website for purchase by end of February.
Thank you for your patience.
Best Regards,

Hello everyone,

I've been rebuilding the Miniwireless portal page (in an among other responsibilities), and here's a sneak preview. Gee, I thought I'd have it up and running by now, but it's going to be a few more days.

Basically, we have plenty of stock, but there are also many options--3 series shown in the image below, plus another we engineering now. (then they'll be a fifth if you include the future ARM offerings). So I want to provide an easy platform for customers to pick and choose various configurations.

All this is relational backend data-driven and dynamic, so once it is setup, it should be relatively easy to maintain.
